  • Debbie Premieres New Song “Cherry Wine” on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based singer-songwriter Debbie Ehirim, aka Debbie premiered a new song “Cherry Wine” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.

The song follows up “All Night Long”, which was released back in June.
It was written by Debbie Ehirim, and Fred Ball who also produced the track.
The accompanying music video was directed by Peter Hamblin.
"Sometimes I feel alone in a room full of people," Debbie said of the song in a statement. "It's like the ultimate brain fog, and I can't seem to get past my mental block and just socialise. 'Cherry Wine' is me talking about how I can be awkward at times and need some dutch courage (aka cherry wine) in order to relax and get comfortable."
  • Debbie told Jack Saunders about the song, “Cherry Wine is all about social anxiety. Whenever I go to any sort of event or club or gathering I feel like I need some sort of drink whether it be a cocktail or a wine just to loosen me up a little bit. So yeah, it's just about that.”
She continued, “I definitely think the production and Cherry Wine by Fred ball definitely has its own energy and its own vibe in itself apart from the lyrics, which is really cool, because then people can just interpretate what they want from the song which is, I really enjoy that.”
