  • Casey Bishop Releases Debut EP “Casey Bishop”: Streaming

  • American singer-songwriter Casey Bishop released her self-titled debut EP along with a new music video for “Kerosene” on September 28, 2022.

Over the course of 6-track, Casey Bishop delivers a full range of emotions with her vulnerable and relatable lyrics.
The EP infuses punk energy and skyscraping rock ambition with alt-pop melodies.
On the EP, American singer-songwriter Willow Smith, aka WILLOW co-wrote two songs “Don't Talk!” and “Bad Dream”.
The accompanying video was directed by Andy DeLuca.
She told The Aquarian about the EP title, “Honestly, I didn't put that much thought into a name for the EP. I was thinking about the name 'Whiplash' for the EP, but decided it was more me to go self-titled route.”
The EP was produced by Chris Greatti, who is known for producing YUNGBLUD.
She said of Chris Greatti, “Chris just so happened to be at my first writing session that I had ever done. I really lucked out there and we wrote a song called 'Kerosene' that is going to be on the EP and I instantly fell in love with the song. I had so much fun working on it and I just wanted him on everything and wanted to continue making music with him and just felt it was a perfect match for the EP.”
  • Casey Bishop explained of some tracks for the EP.

    “Bad Dream”
“I wrote it about a situation I went through a little while ago that resulted in me struggling with paranoia. Although I wrote it from a personal experience, I want people to relate in their own ways when they listen to the song. It is pretty specific, but I'm sure everyone has gone through something that felt so unreal it felt like a nightmare.”

    “Don't Talk!”
"I was in the session talking about how you can meet a guy who's sooo good looking but they just constantly say the wrong things. We were joking and throwing out examples of those moments when out of the blue, Willow busts out with the words 'don't talk' in that insane melody riff that became the main punch of the record. It was perfect and set the tone for the song. The final version of this recording is just so fun. We wanted a happy, upbeat, fun song and that's exactly what 'Don't Talk!' is."

    “Blurry Vision”
"'Blurry Vision' is about missing being younger. Missing the excitement you used to get from the little things. When I was writing this song I was in a phase of my life where I just felt numb. I wasn't sad or unhappy, it was just that nothing excited me. I didn't feel like myself and it was causing me to reminisce and worry, wondering if I was going to feel that way forever.”
