American singer-songwriter John Legend released a new song “All She Wanna Do” from his upcoming eighth studio album “LEGEND” on August 5, 2022.
This time, he recruited American rapper Saweetie on the track.
It was written by John Stephens, Ryan Tedder, Michael Pollack, Jake Torrey, Tia Scola, Jeff Halavacs, Zach Skelton, Stefan Johnson, Jordan K. Johnson, Diamonté Harper and Larrance Dopson. Produced by Ryan Tedder, The Monsters & Strangerz, Zach Skelton and Andrew DeRoberts.
John Legend said of the song, “It kind of reminds me of Michael Jackson 'Off the Wall' energy. The Whitney Houston 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' and it feels so good. It's about a woman that you see out of the club who is just living her best life embracing the party life and you wanna be a part of it. You wanna touch this energy that she has. You wanna, like, whatever place she is, you wanna be there with her. It's about that push and pull, that allure that she has, that attraction that you have toward her and wanting to take it to the next level with her. So that's what the lyric is really about. The new album consists of two discs, including 24-track, featuring guest appearances from Amber Mark, Free Nationals, Jada Kingdom, Jazmine Sullivan, Jhené Aiko, JID, Ledisi, Muni Long, Rapsody, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign and Saweetie.
The album is set to be released on September 9, 2022.
