American singer-songwriter Willow Smith, aka WILLOW announced her fifth studio album “ᐸCOPINGMECHANISMᐳ” would be released on September 23, 2022.
It is her first project since the 2021 album “Lately I Feel Everything”.
The album comprises 11-track, produced by Chris Greatti.
From the album, she released the second single “hover like a GODDESS” following “ᐸmaybeᐳ it's my fault” on August 5, 2022.
WILLOW shared on social media, “Every woman deserves to be worshiped. This song is an ode to the divine goddess within us all.”
The track was written by WILLOW, and Chris Greatti, who also produced it.
“It's all too often in tender emotional states we try to blame our hurts on other people,” WILLOW said of the song. “Even though none of us are perfect, in some capacity it's us who allow ourselves to get into situations that don't serve our highest purpose.”
She continued, “[The song explores] what it's like to hold ourselves equally accountable for the emotional pain we feel while also allowing ourselves to be human and fully process all of our feelings without shame.”- source : Apple Music
