Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Dragonette Releases New Song “New Suit”
This year, Canadian electronic music band Dragonette, consisting of Martina Sorbara (vocals), bassist and Dan Kurtz (bass) and Joel Stouffer (drums), collaborated with Toronto-Based producer Yash on “Unicorn”, and New York-based electro-pop duo The Knocks on “Slow Song”.
Following two collaborative songs, the band released their new original song “New Suit” along with a lyric video on August 3, 2022.
The song will appear on their upcoming fifth studio album.
It was written by Martina Sorbara, and Dan Farber, who also produced the track. The accompanying video was directed by Michael C. Mendelsohn.
“The lyrics include classic words that are intended to ping-off digital era concepts,” Martina Sorbara said of the song. “But at its heart, the song is about finding your way back to your power while the world keeps shaking up your life.”- Photo by Shervin Lainez
