Beyoncé Releases New Song “BREAK MY SOUL”
- American singer-songwriter Beyoncé released a new song “BREAK MY SOUL”
The song is her first taste of her upcoming seventh studio album “RENAISSANCE”. It's also her first original song since she released “Be Alive” last year.
The track sampled Robin S' 1990 song "Show Me Love" and Big Freedia's 2014 song “Explode”.
It was written by Big Freedia, BlaqNmilD, Fred McFarlane, Allen George, JAY-Z, Christopher Stewart, The-Dream and Beyoncé.
Produced by Tricky Stewart, Beyoncé and The-Dream.
The new album is set to be released on July 29, 2022 and comprises 16-track. It is her first album in six years since the 2016 album “Lemonade”.
Back in August 2021, Beyoncé told Harper's Bazaar about the album, “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible.”
She continued, “Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies. Still, there's nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”
