KVNE Releases New Song “Heroin” featuring Badlook
Canadian singer-songwriter Kevin Edworthy, aka KVNE released a new song “Heroin” along with a music video on April 21, 2022
This time, he teamed up with Toronto-based producer David Mooney, aka Badlook on the track.
This marks the first collaboration between KVNE and Badlook.
The song is the first single off of his upcoming EP “Distort”, which is expected to be released later this year.
It was written by Kevin Edworthy and David Mooney. The video was directed by Teagan Walker.
Kevin Edworthy said, “Since I was a teenager, I've struggled with addiction. I would replace one substance with another, consistently leaning on something to hide trauma or emotions. Today, I've had years of sobriety under my belt, but the battle with addiction never really dissipates.”- He continued, “By the end of two years of the pandemic and isolation, I had gone through broken hearts, cancelled tours, attempting to homeschool my son on my own and what felt like an endless disappointment. I had kind of taken a break from working on any content for myself, while I was still actively writing and producing for other artists. But I just had a massive disconnect with all of it, and to be honest I was really struggling with my mental health. I couldn't seem to find joy in anything and felt like I was getting closer and closer to relapsing.”
He added about this collaboration, “It helped me stay sober and get through one more tough day at a time. I started to find the hidden joys of life again.” -
