Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Bad Mary Releases New Song “Light It Up”
New York-based punk rock band Bad Mary, consisting of Amanda Mac (vocals), Mike Staub (bass), Bill Mac (drums) and David Henderson (guitar), released a new song “Light It Up” along with a music video on April 26, 2022.
The song will appear on their upcoming EP “Trash and Glamour”.
It was written by Amanda McIntyre, William McIntyre, David Henderson and Michael Staub.
The band frontwoman Amanda Mac said of the song, “After writing a space punk rock opera (The Return of Space Girl) and releasing an EP of covers (Rock and Roll Classics Vol. 6), we wanted to write some fun songs that really represent what we do and who we are as a band. With “Light It Up” we wanted to write a rock and roll song about rock and roll, and how we get on stage and let the energy and enthusiasm take over. It’s a song about doing things our way. We also wanted a new high energy song to open our shows with… so there’s that too!”
The band plans to release a next song “The Floor Is Lava” from the EP on May 31, 2022.
