Cassidy Mann Announces Debut EP “If It's Not Forever”, Shares New Song “Fine”
Canadian singer-songwriter Cassidy Mann announced her debut EP “If It's Not Forever” would be released on April 1, 2022.
From the EP, she unveiled a new song “Fine” on January 21st, following “Election Night” and “Stop A Heart”.
She co-wrote and co-produced the song with Roman Clarke.
Cassidy Mann said of the song, “After a breakup, you tell yourself that you're fine. And you will be, eventually. "Fine" is about the initial breakup reaction, when your heart hasn't yet caught up to your brain.”
She continued, “I wrote this as a submission for my songwriting club with some friends, and held onto it for a while until it became something I really believed in. I love how it shows this indie rock side of myself that I've never revealed until this song.”- The debut EP comprises 6-track, in which she reshapes a small moment into a powerful and poetic song that feels both personal and relatable. Also, these share her most intimate memories.
“My favorite thing is to write about tiny things that make the bigger picture more important somehow,” she said. “I was wondering a lot about how two people can be in the same situation and have different memories attached to those times. It's interesting to me how memories are interpretable that way.” - source : Apple Music
