American singer-songwriter John K released a new song “A LOT” along with a music video on January 14, 2022.
The song is his first single since his 2021 album “in case you miss me”.
It was written by John K and Steph Jones. Produced by WYNNE. The video was directed by Erik Rojas.
“I never realized how often I say the word ‘a lot’ until I wrote this song,” John K explained. “The story is about that feeling when you can’t get someone out of your head, except for now that person is out of the picture. It’s about replaying memories over and over, thinking about the person you wish you never lost. A simple concept really, but I felt like it was one my fans would relate to right away. You ever mess something up so bad and then all you have left is the memory of how good it used to be? That’s A LOT.”- He shared on social media, “I find it really hard to know where art ends and overthinking begins. This was one of about 5 shoots to find the album art for A LOT. Truth is content from most of the shoots I do won’t ever see light of day because the product never quite meets my expectation (a flaw im painfully aware of and working on). Then pile on posting on social media….and thats a whole other wave of anxiety/expectation to deal with. “A LOT” is a story where most of the conversation is in your head while you tell your friends (and yourself) that you’re fine. Funny thing is thats exactly what im doing rn …..😵💫”
