Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter GALXARA has unveiled a new song “Jealous Of Myself” with an accompanying music video.
The track follows up her recent collaboration with Saweetie for the Birds Of Prey soundtrack called, “Sway With Me”.
GALXARA said of the song, “I could totally relate to that concept and mentality of telling myself and telling every other person out there that we NEED to be jealous of ourselves. Yeah it’s cocky and maybe a little conceited but we need to change our thinking and realize we should not be wasting our precious time with having jealousy for others but for OURSELVES.”
In the clip, she explores three entirely different characters. “Each character in the Jealous of Myself music video is still me,” she explained. “Essentially, those 3 emotions and characters are the worst versions of myself who are all incredibly jealous and trying to become the singular version of me or “sole survivor”. Yet, at the end of the day all those emotions are just that. Emotions. Every single human being has them no matter how perfect you might think you are.”- source : Idolator
