rosecoloredworld Releases Debut Song “Walking on the Sun”
- Los Angeles-based alt-pop duo rosecoloredworld has unveiled their debut song “Walking on the Sun”.
The track is accompanied by a spectacular music video, which was directed by Stephen Amstutz.
rosecoloredworld consists of Rebecca Epstein and Addison Scott. Both of artists had their own solo projects for years, but they decided to join forces and create a project together.
Before the release of the song, the duo delivered “snow white” via SoundCloud. However the duo finally official released “Walking on the Sun” as the debut single.
“Back in April, we were writing a song for our band in LA, but we hadn’t quite found our sound yet. Something special happened that one night and we tapped into a space in ourselves we hadn’t felt in a long time. It was like we were kids again just writing for the love of music- open, honest, and surrounded by love, which as artists is what we want to spread to you,” the duo wrote on Facebook. “Through making music together, and falling in love, we wanted a way to share that energy with you which is how our “rose colored world” was born. Here’s to the ones who were told to take off your “rose colored glasses” and to be “normal.” We believe anything we create in our minds, and hearts, we can spread to the world.”
- The duo said of the song, “The essence of our single, “Walking on the Sun” is attributed to all the struggles and challenges we all face everyday from being alive. It’s okay not not be okay sometimes. The key is allowing it to spring you forward and not hold you back. After we wrote this song, we knew we had created something for you all to listen to when times get tough. We spent the last half of this year finishing this song. We knew how much it could help people and wanted to make it perfect. The past few months have been absolutely insane since writing this song. It is by far the most proud we have been of something we have created together.”
