Cuban-American singer-songwriter Camila Cabello premiered two new songs “Liar” and “Shameless” on September 5th, which are the first taste of her upcoming second solo album “Romance”.
Both tracks follow up "Señorita" with Shawn Mendes. “Shameless” is accompanied by the music video directed by Henry Scholfield.
On September 1, 2019, Cabello posted a teaser clip on her Instagram revealing the name of the album. It is expected to be released later this year.
She said of both songs, "They were written in the same day. We did the idea for “Liar” and then I was like, I have like 30 minutes left and I really wanted to make another song, make another idea. I basically had the chorus melody for “Shameless” […] They’re both about the same situation… I was denying feelings for this person for a long time. And before I would see him, I’d be like, “I don’t like him, I don’t like him. What, I don’t like him” And then I would be like “I like him.”
She added about the album, “These songs are basically the story of my life the past couple years and the stories I’ve accumulated, explained Camila. "I knew for a long time I wanted my album to be called Romance because these stories are about falling in love.”- 6-OvO8ZuW98
