Jaymes Young Unveils New Song “Happiest Year”
- American singer-songwriter Jaymes Young unveiled a new song “Happiest Year” on July 12th.
Last year, Jaymes Young joined in PVRIS' remix version “Same Soul”. But the new single is his first own song in two years since his debut album “Feel Something”.
"Happiest Year is a song I wrote about trying to see things from a more positive perspective, no matter how troubling they feel," Young said of the tune in a statement. "During the writing process I tried to express gratitude and understanding towards experiences that had also left a potential for bitterness and resentment. I’d rather reflect on the good times when I can, but sometimes that’s easier said than done. I spent a lot of days over the past year writing and reflecting on who I am as an artist and what’s important to me. With that I can say I’m coming back to music officially. I don’t know exactly what that will look like a year from now but I’m going to take my days one at a time, staying present in the moments in which I create. Thanks to everyone who stuck around while I took some time for myself.”
Jaymes Young will embark on a North American tour, with beginning at The Irenic on October 30th. Learn more about tour dates, click here.
