Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora Aksnes, aka AURORA released her sophomore studio album “A Different Kind Of Human – Step 2” on June 7, 2019.
The project consists of two parts, in which the first chapter "Infections of a Different Kind (Step 1)" was released last September on EP format.
The new album is the second chapter as sequel to the EP. Originally, the album title was supposed to be "Infections of a Different Kind (Step 2)". But she announced that the title won't be under the assumed title of it. "It's kind of what I would hope for the music to do to us", she said in February. Finally, the album was named “A Different Kind Of Human – Step 2”.
The album comprises of 11-track including the previously released singles "Animal", "The Seed", "The River" and "A Different Kind of Human".- Back in April, she revealed that her past two projects are merely footsteps leading into what is to come. She said, "I'm already working on my next album, and it's halfway done. No one has heard it yet, not even my manager. I work very quickly. The day I'm done with one album I immediately know the title of the next one and I begin. But there might be a "Step 3" in between because the next album goes quite far - it's beyond anything I've ever done before. It's extremely exciting."
