  • Bastille Drops New Music Video for “Those Nights”

  • British alt-pop band Bastille premieres new music video for “Those Nights” directed by Crooked Cynics on June 4th.

The song is the third single off their upcoming third studio album “Doom Days”, which is due out on June 14, 2019.
Frontman Dan Smith said of the song, “For the song, we wanted it to feel intimate and woozy, digital and organic. We worked with the incredible saxophonist Rittipo (who may of you might have seen on the stage with us on tours and at festivals) who layered up an orchestra of improvised saxophones. I'm so happy he levant us some of his musicality and helped make the song (hopefully) feel like a gorgeous warm late night haze. The gospel voices of senab and reese elevate the track and add the etherial textures and a proper sense of yearning. We're so happy to have all these voices wander in and out of the tune (and the album). And of course Mark's production and the guys playing pull whole thing together. Messing around with synth sounds and drum sounds at our studio was so much fun. Not to mention Tom Elmhirst's mix that ties the whole thing together.”
  • He added about the video, “And to create the video, Tom at Crooked Cynics really managed to take all our references and conversations and create something I'm so excited about (...ignoring the fact that I had to star in it!).
Thanks so much to him. To all of the actors and extras who took part in the video, to everyone at Sandstorm films and the entire crew. What an amazing job they did!”
“Those Nights” is their first album in three years. Their last album "Wild World" reached No. 1 on the UK Albums chart and No. 4 on the US Billboard 200.
The band has announced a nine-date UK tour for later this year.
