Swedish producer Avicii dropped a new music video for “Friend Of Mine” featuring Stockholm's duo Vargas & Lagola.
The song was released in August from his fourth EP "Avīci (01)". It was written by John Phillips, Michelle Phillips, Vincent Pontare, Salem Al Fakir and Tim Bergling. A lyrics video of the song was premiered in August, which was created with CG animations.
The video reminds us of Katy Perry's music video "The One That Got Away".
"Avīci (01)" is his first EP to return to music scene from his retirement in 2016, which was forced due to health complications.
Avicii has said of the release:
"I'm really excited to be back with music once again. It has been a long time since I released anything and a long time since I was this excited over new music! My focus on this first EP of the album was to get a mix of new and old songs: some that fans have been asking about and waiting for mixed with brand new songs that they have never been heard before!"- IXNrHusLXoM
Last October, he released a documentary film "Avicii: True Stories", in which the camera followed him on the tour and his health issue. He had played more than 800 shows. After the tour, he announced his retirement. TThe film features appearances from Chris Martin, Nile Rodgers, David Guetta and Wyclef Jean.
Stockholm-based documentary filmmaker Levan Tsikurishvili said;
"I wanted to do a brutally honest film about Tim as a person and not only about Avicii. Everybody knows Avicii but very few people know Tim. I think this documentary really shows Tim’s struggle and strength of character. Being a worldwide superstar artist is not as easy as it looks on Instagram.”-
