New York-based synth-pop band Ariana and the Rose dropped a new music video for "How Does That Make You Feel" directed by Wes Anderson.
The video was premiered exclusively on VOGUE. The song was released in March 2017, included on their sophomore EP "Retrograde".
The EP caontains 4-track, featuring Los Angeles-based duo RKCB. From the EP, she released "Love You Lately" and its music video was premiered in February.
About the video, she told VOGU;
"When it comes to creating music videos, I sit with the song and listen to it over and over throughout a day, over many days and I try switching my perspective from being the person who created the song to just a listener. I've learned that I can't push myself into creating a concept for a video, usually an idea or a spark of an idea will come to mind, sometimes that has me in it and other times the visual is something completely different. It's all about the best way to represent the story of the song."- Ariana And the Rose is Ariana DiLorenzo's music project. She debut with her first EP "Head vs Heart" in 2014.
Originally, started her career as an actor, playing on Broadway show. Afterwards she started to write songs for other artists and formed her own project with the band.
Her songs are her personal and her music is influenced from like Kate Bush and Robyn.
She is currently working on a full-length album, "I have music to be putting out after the EP, and I'm always writing. I'd like to have the project have enough groundswell that people want a full length. I also feel like the more I put out the more I learn what resonates with everyone. I try to be responsive with an audience. I think that's the joy of playing shows and social media. I'm writing a lot and when it feels like a body of work that makes sense, I'll put it together as an album," she said. - source : VOGUE
