Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Saints of Valory Premieres New Music Video for “SET IT ON FIRE”
Austin-based alternative rock band Saints of Valory dropped a new music video for "SET IT ON FIRE" directed by John Felipo.
The song was premiered exclusively on EARMILK on July 21.
The track is taken from their upcoming debut studio album, which is expected to be released later in 2017.
Bassist of the band, Gavin Jasper told EARMILK about the new song;
"There was a lot happening in the world on the day we wrote 'Set It On Fire.' There was a lot of civil unrest and racial tension in the news, the presidential elections were in full swing and there was just a general feeling of divide in the air. When we arrived at the studio we began discussing how we were living in some pretty weird times. It was our goal that day to capture that feeling of angst and write an anthemic song that would resonate with anyone else feeling frustrated with it all."-
Saints of Valory was formed in 2008, currently consisting of Gavin Jasper (lead vocals/bass), Godfrey Thomson (guitar/vocals), and Stephen Buckle (keyboards/vocals).
The band self-released the EPs "The Bright Lights" in 2010 and "Kids" in 2012, respectively.
In 2012, the band signed to Atlantic Records and released major debut EP "Possibilities" in 2013.
