London-based singer-songwriter Leon Else has released a new song "The City Don’t Care". He teamed up with Los Angeles-based production duo Oliver for the song.
The sound is like 80's pop, reminds us Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach".
Leon Else signed to Turn First Recordsdebuted in 2012. His debut song "Protocol" was released in 2014. In the same year, he released a debut EP "River Full of Liquor".
In September 2016, he released "Black Car" for the first time in two years. Followed by, the music video for it was unveiled on VEVO. Directed by Jordan Bahat. Afterward, he released "Dance".
About the song, he said;
"There is a fine line between dreams and nightmares and I felt like I was experiencing both. So I wanted to do a song that musically felt like I was driving through paradise — the sun setting, the pink skies, the palm trees over the ocean, the city in the distance — but, lyrically, I wanted it to be about the dark side, the lonely side, and the deceiving side of the city; everyday being the same old shit."-
