American singer-songwriter Chloe Bailey unveiled her long-awaited debut solo single “Have Mercy” as Chlöe, along with a music video as on September 10, 2021.
Chloe Bailey is known as one half of American R&B duo Chloe x Halle.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut solo studio album, which is expected to be released in 2022.
The track sampled the 2018 song “Off the Chain” by TT the Artist and UNIIQU3.
It was written by BoogzDaBeast, UNIIQU3, Mighty Mark, Zac, Joseph L'Étranger, Finatik, Murda Beatz, TT The Artist, Theron Thomas, Nija and Chloe Bailey. Produced by Murda, BoogzDaBeast, and FnZ. The video was directed by Karena Evans.
“It's 90% done, it is definitely more pop.” Chloe Bailey said of the project. “I'm creating my own lane, as well as paying homage to the ones who have inspired me. It has been fun finding my voice.”
