American DJs ILLENIUM and Nurko teamed up to release a new song “Sideways” featuring American singer-songwriter Valerie Broussard on May 7, 2021.
The track will appear on ILLENIUM's upcoming fourth studio album “Fallen Embers”.
It was written by Benjamin Samama, David Arkwright, Jack Leech, Valerie Broussard and ILLENIUM.
ILLENIUM teased the song on a Twitch livestream last August. Also, Nurko premiered the song at MitiS' set during the Insomniac Park 'N Rave Concert Series back in January.
ILLENIUM shared on social media, “I'm so fkn pumped Sideways is out!! The moment I heard the demo from Valerie Broussard I absolutely fell in love. It was something I really needed to hear after this past year. Working on it with Nurko was so fkn fun and I couldn't be more stoked on how it turned out. ❤️❤️❤️”- Valerie Broussard said, “'Sideways' was written as an ode to a friend who was struggling with her mental health during Covid lockdown. Having struggled similarly in my own life, I wanted her to know I would always be there for her, even when it felt like the world was falling apart.”
