Tune-Yards Premieres New Song “hypnotized”
- Oakland–based alt-pop band Tune-Yards, consisting of Merrill Garbus and Nate Brenner, premiered a new song “hypnotized”.
The song will appear on their upcoming fifth studio album “Sketchy”. The accompanying music video was directed by Tee Ken Ng.
Merrill Garbus said of the song, “We hope the music brings energy and a strong wind of encouragement to those who are shouting and singing loudly for justice right now.”
The album comprises of 11-track and is due out March 26, 2021. It is their first LP since the 2018 the album “I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life”.
“I started remembering that people come to us to be entertained, to move, to feel joy,” she said of the new album. “And together, I think, we can wake up.”
