Hoorsees Releases Self-Titled Debut Album: Streaming
French alt-pop band Hoorsees, consisting of Alex Delamard (guitar & vocals), Thomas Gachod (guitar), Zoé Gilbert (bass) and Nicolas Conte (drums), released their self-titled debut album via Kanine Records on February 19, 2021.
The album is a showcase of shimmering “mid-fi” guitar pop that blends lush melodies with the laidback flavor of '90s slacker rock.
The album comprises of 9-track, frontman Alex Delamard delivers wry lyrics that equally scorn himself, those around him, and the situations he finds himself.
This album release follows a series of single releases with video accompaniments that showcased the band's neighborhood in the residential southern outskirts of Paris.
The Soleil Club in the 14th arrondissement takes a starring in the video for the bittersweet “Overdry” and puts in a cameo on the band's call-to-arms, “Get Tired”. Elsewhere, the “Videogames” visual offered a collage made from clips shot between a lazy afternoon at Delamard's apartment and a recording space in southern France.- source : Spotify
