Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The Struts & Robbie Williams Perform New Song “Strange Days” at Soccer Aid for Unicef 2020
British rock band The Struts has shared a new collaboration song “Strange Days” with singer-songwriter Robbie Williams.
The song follows up “Another Hit Of Showmanship” featuring Albert Hammond Jr, released on August 28th.
Both songs will appear on the band's forthcoming third album “Strange Days”, which is set to be released on October 16th.
“I was doing Quarantine Radio [the band's lockdown live-stream] and Robbie hit me up out of the blue asking if we could talk,” frontman Luke Spiller said. “We ended up FaceTiming for about two hours the first time we'd ever spoken, talking about life and music and UFOs and everything else you can think of.”
He continued, “I asked if he'd like to work together at some point, and while we were making the album, he graciously let us come over and record him singing on his front porch.”
“We did a vocal for a wonderful song that has been gifted my way,” Robbie Williams said. “It's been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to listen to this man sing. It's great to be a fan of someone and then a part of this recording. It's like having a hero here and I genuinely mean that.”- esG9glftW9Q

After the release of the song, The Struts and Robbie Williams performed at Soccer Aid for Unicef 2020.
Soccer Aid is a British charity annual event that has raised over £38 million in aid of UNICEF UK, through ticket sales and donations from the public.
This year, the match was played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.- source : Kerrang
