  • Byland Shares New Song “Believe”

  • New Mexico-based cinematic folk project Byland of Alie Renee Byland will release her sophomore album “GRAY” on October 2, 2020. It is their fist LP in two years.

From the album, she has shared the second single off called “Believe”, following “Mine” released back in June.
Alie Renee Byland said, ““Believe” is about my struggle with insecurity, and realizing how much weight I often put into the opinions of others. The line, “if you believe in me, maybe I won't have to” is an expression of self-satire, written with the hope of causing listeners to pause and evaluate their own aptitude for self-doubt. It's easy to hide behind other people's opinions, talents and ideas, because then we don't have to actually do the hard work of refining our skills, forming our own beliefs or trusting ourselves.”
The album contains 10-track, where she recorded in Ballard, Seattle. “It feels like I've been on a journey,” she said. “I used to have all the answers for everything and now I have less answers than ever.”
Also, she will release the third single “Passed Me By” on August 28th. It is available to pre-order here.
