Raynes Shares New Song “Second Thought”
- Back in October, Los Angeles-based alt-pop trio Raynes debuted with their first song “Lemon Drop”.
Following the debut song, the trio released a new song “Second Thought” on November 27th. The track was premiered exclusively on Billboard.
The trio said of the song, “‘Second Thought’ is about the dissatisfaction, hesitation, and ambivalence that can slowly destroy a relationship. It’s literally about having second thoughts and trying to deal with them. Should they be ignored and repressed, or confronted and worked through? Or is it too late to even try and save it?”
Raynes consists of North Dakota natives Mat Charley, Joe Bergerand and UK native Mark Race, who met via Instagram.
The trio keeps writing the songs for their debut album. "I want to say right now we have a secret Dropbox or Google Drive that has, like 60 demos that I've produced, and we also have in the low hundreds of just other songs we're kind of constantly working on," Mat Charley told Billboard. "At whatever point we decide to pull the trigger we definitely have enough (songs) for an album. But right now we want to build our name and fan base song by song before we dive into some huge project."
