Ella Mai Premieres New Song “Whatchamacallit” featuring Chris Brown
British R&B singer-songwriter Ella Mai teamed up with American singer-songwriter Chris Brown for a new song “Whatchamacallit”.
The song is taken from her upcoming self-titled debut album, which is due out October 12, 2018.
It was written by DJ Mustard, J Holt, Sam Hook, Ella Mai and Chris Brown.
“Vocally, he’s amazing,” she said. “If he didn’t come out the way he did and make the music that he did, I think I would be a completely different artist. He’s influenced an entire generation.”
The album comprises of 15-track and features guest appearances from Chris Brown, H.E.R. and John Legend. Produced by DJ Mustard.
DJ Mustard said: "So the plan worked. What people don't understand, this is like my little sister. This project coming is like my baby. I'm pressing for it more than my own shit. It's all about her right now."
