Following a sold out North American tour, American pop rock singer-songwriter Spencer Sutherland released a new song “Alive” on May 2, 2023.
The song is his first single of 2024, following the 2023 debut album “In His Mania”, and the collaborative single “Chicken Little” with American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor.
The track captures his impassioned delivery that amplifies its message - a longing for intense connections that transform everyday life into a celebration.
It was written by Dan Gleyzer, Spencer Sutherland, and Tony Ferrari. Produced by Keaton Stromberg.
"Alive is my love letter to nostalgic rock n roll,” Spencer Sutherland said of the song. “It's got all the big guitars and bluesy melodies that I grew up listening to. I want to hear choruses in pop music that hit my soul and make me feel like I'm flying, and this is my take on that!"- He shared on social media, “Never has there been a song of mine that has felt this ME. I feel so proud & almost emotional about it. For years & years, it was so hard to write something from my voice & my heart. Always tried to write a perfect 'pop song.' But this song is what it's supposed to be. Rock, pop, who the hell knows, it just feels great. & that's what music is supposed to be in my book.”
