Former One Direction and British singer-songwriter Liam Payne returned with a new song “Teardrops” on March 1, 2024 via Capitol Records.
The song is his first music in three years since the 2021 “Sunshine” from the original motion picture “Ron's Gone Wrong” soundtrack.
This time, Liam Payne co-wrote the song with former NSYNC JC Chasez, and longtime collaborator Jamie Scott.
The track is the rhythmic pop with the late-90s and turn-of-the-millenium sound.
Liam Payne said of the song in a statement, “’Teardrops’ is about the vulnerability of heartbreak and the challenge of overcoming those moments. This song marks the start of a new beginning, there’s lots more to come in 2024.”
