Norwegian singer-songwriter Astrid S released a new song “First To Go” on February 23, 2024.
The song is the second single of 2024, following the releases of “Two Hands” last month.
It was written by Astrid Smeplass, JT Daly, Morgan Nagler, and Trent Dabbs. Produced by JT Daly and Jack Schrepferman.
She wrote the song in Nashville. Te track is a liberating song about the transition from your teens to your mid-twenties.
Astrid S said of the song, “Since I debuted as an artist when I was 16, various people have tried to tell me what to do and who to be. It's about the liberating realization when I realized I'm not dependent on anyone else, and how liberating it is to let someone move on. And best of all: I'M NOT MAD, I'M THE HAPPIEST I'VE EVER BEEN!”- She shared on social media, “Had SO much fun writing this in Nashville. Forgot to say that it's about transitioning from being in your teens to your twenties and finding the confidence to making the right decisions for yourself. And basically letting people go and moving on.”
