  • Beyoncé Releases Two New Songs “TEXAS HOLD 'EM” & “16 CARRIAGES”

  • American singer-songwriter Beyoncé teased two new songs “TEXAS HOLD 'EM” and “16 CARRIAGES” during during 2024 Super Bowl LVIII, and released on February 11, 2024.


    The two songs will appear on her upcoming eighth studio album “Act II”, which is set to be released on March 29, 2024 via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records.
    The new album is the second installment of the Renaissance Trilogy, which began with “Renaissance” in 2022.
    The two songs features country music elements. However it is not her first featuring country music sounds. Beyoncé released “Daddy Lessons” featuring American country music band The Chicks from her sixth studio album “Lemonade” in 2016.
    Also, her “Ivy Park Rodeo” collection was inspired by growing up in Texas and the American Black cowboy.
    Beyoncé told Harpers Bazaar in 2021, “I grew up going to the Houston rodeo every year. It was this amazing diverse and multicultural experience where there was something for every member of the family, including great performances, Houston-style fried Snickers, and fried turkey legs. One of my inspirations came from the overlooked history of the American Black cowboy.”
