Celeste Releases New Song “There Will Come A Day” from Original Motion Picture “The Color Purple” Soundtrack
British singer-songwriter Celeste joined in the original motion picture “The Color Purple” soundtrack.
For Celeste, this marks the third time joining the soundtrack, following the 2020 “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and “Soul (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)”.
From the soundtrack, she released a new song “There Will Come A Day” on December 15, 2023.
The track is the third single off of the album, following Alicia Keys' “Lifeline”, and USHER and H.E.R.'s “Risk It All” .
It was written by Celeste, Konyikeh McLaren, Nathaniel Ledwidge, and Simon Aldred. Produced by Detonate andTommy D.
The soundtrack consists of two parts “The Color Purple (Orginal Motion Picture Soundtrack)” and “The Color Purple (Music from And Inspired By)”, and is released on December 15, 2023 via WaterTower Music.
“The Color Purple (Orginal Motion Picture Soundtrack)” comprises a 18-track, featuring the songs from film, including new version of tracks originally written by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis and Stephen Bray for the 2015 stage musical of the same title.
While, “The Color Purple (Music from And Inspired By)” comprises a 19-track, featuring numerous songs inspired by the movie by artists such as Alicia Keys, Usher, Mary J. Blige, H.E.R., Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Hudson and others.- bjFi64EFp1c

The film “The Color Purple” is based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Alice Walker.
It is the second film adaptation of the novel, following the 1985 film directed by Steven Spielberg.
The film was directed by Blitz Bazawule, starring Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R., Halle Bailey, and Phylicia Pearl Mpasi.
