Guns N' Roses Releases New Song “The Genera”
American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, consisting of Axl Rose (lead vocals), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Richard Fortus (guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (keyboards), released a new song “The Genera” on December 8, 2023.
The song is the second single of 2023, following the release of “Perhaps” back in August.
Last month, the band premiered the song during their two-night stand live at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Before the performance, the band's frontman, Axl Rose introduced the track as one they hadn't played before, noting, “It could be very interesting.“
Initially, the track was written during the sessions for the 2008 album “Chinese Democracy” as with the previous song “Perhaps”.
This time, the track was updated by their current, semi-reunited lineup.
The track was written by Guns N' Roses and produced by Axl Rose, and Caram Costanzo.
Also, as with “Perhaps”, former drummer Bryan 'Brain' Mantia reportedly wrote some of the song's music and gave it its title.- source : Apple Music
