Megan Thee Stallion Releases Rock Remix of “Cobra” featuring Spiritbox
American rapper Megan Thee Stallion released a rock remix of “Cobra” on November 8, 2023.
She worked with Canadian heavy metal band Spiritbox on the track.
The original version of the song was released on November 3 and the remix version was released just five days.
The track was written by Megan Thee Stallion, Derrick Milano, Joel Banks, Taylor Banks, Shawn “Source” Jarrett, Stanley Clarke, Daniel Braunstein, Mike Stringer and Courtney LaPlante. Produced by Dan Braunstein and Mike Stringer.
Megan Thee Stallion said of the song, “Cobras exemplify courage and self-reliance. They stand tall and fierce in the face of challenges, teaching one to tap into their inner strength and rely on oneself to conquer their threats. Emulating the cobra helps one be more confident in the person they are within.”
Spiritbox's lead singer Courtney LaPlante added, “Thank you Megan for allowing us the opportunity to collaborate on your already iconic new song ‘Cobra’. I am beyond grateful to you.”- “Cobra” is her first independent single since departing from her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment in October 2023.
The track will appear on her upcoming third album.
