Lauv Performs “Love U Like That” & Miley Cyrus' “Used To Be Young” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge will air a new performance every Monday through Thursday for the entirety of October.
American singer-songwriter Lauv appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge as the eighth musical guest to perform “Love U Like That” and a cover of Miley Cyrus' “Used To Be Young”.
This marks his first performance in two years since 2020 on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
“Love U Like That” was released along with a music video back in August. He co-directed the video, which is his directorial debut.
Lauv said of the video, “This video is about freedom of expression and what it means to authentically be you. It’s about not being afraid to find the most authentic, truest version of yourself, even though it’s a lifelong, evolving, process. I loved co-directing my first video and I hope it makes people feel like they don’t have to settle for staying the person societal norms or their previous life experiences have told them they need to be and instead, open themselves up to new ways of expressing themselves.”
“Used To Be Young” was released by American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus as the fourth single from her eighth studio album “Endless Summer Vacation” back in August. Ahead of the release, she performed the song at the ABC documentary concert special “Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions)”.
The song reached No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming her 12th top-ten song and the second one from the new album, following “Flowers”.
