James Blunt Releases New Song “The Girl That Never Was”
British singer-songwriter James Blunt released the third single called “The Girl That Never Was” from his upcoming seventh studio album “Who We Used to Be” on October 4, 2023.
He released the song just two week later after releasing the previous single “All The Love That I Ever Needed”.
The track was written by George Tizzard, James Blunt, and Rick Parkhouse. Produced by Red Triangle.
James Blunt said of the song, “'The Girl That Never Was' is a really special song for me on this album and you know it's about again the stage of life that I'm at where we've had as my wife and I aspirations and some of those we have achieved and are very grateful for and some of those we haven't and while we celebrate you know what we do have we struggle sometimes with the battles that we've lost and this is a song about that.”
The new album is set to be released on October 27, 2023 and comprises 14-track (deluxe edition). It is his first album in four years since the 2019 album “Once Upon a Mind”.
James Blunt embarks on “Who We Used to Be Tour” in support of the album in 2024. The tour kicks off at Le Liberte in Rennes, France on February 20, 2024.
