Fred again.. & Obongjayar Team Up for New Song “adore u”
London-based music producer Fred Gibson, aka Fred again.. teamed up with London-based Nigerian singer-songwriter Obongjayar to release a new song “adore u” on August 11, 2023.
The track was written by Fred Gibson, Obongjayar, Barney Lister, Damon Yul Wimbley, Buff Love, Marco Parisi, Prince Markie Dee, Steven Umoh and Tobias Wincorn. Produced by Fred again.., Four Tet, PARISI and Tobias Wincorn.
Fred Gibson said of the song, “This is the first song of a whole new world to me. One that I cant wait to show you more of. Very very much. Actually VERY much. Very FUCKING much. Oo that one was weird. OB made this song for his lil brother. I made it for my lil sister without knowing this. So to me its for siblings, in any way that manifests.”
Obongjayar said, “This song means a whole lot to me and this version with Fred exposes the celebration of love that it carries within it, and the joy of that love. A couple weeks later, the pair dropped a live video for the song. They performed and filmed it at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on August 4, 2023.
Fred Gibson said of the live video, “I decided to jus upload the whole 8 minutes of this to youtube. Mainly because OB is just in absolute infinity mode here and its kinda a joy to watch. We got to play adore u for the first time together in Chicago and this was the vibe.”- source : Apple Music
