  • Busted Premieres New Version “Year 3000 2.0” with Jonas Brothers on BBC Radio 2

  • British pop punk band Busted, consisting of James Bourne (vocals/rhythm guitar), Matt Willis (vocal/bass) and Charlie Simpson (vocals/lead guitar), premiered a new version of “Year 3000”, called “Year 3000 2.0” on BBC Radio 2 The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.

This time, the band teamed up with American pop rock band Jonas Brothers on the track.
The song is the fifth single off of Busted's upcoming reworked greatest hits album “Greatest Hits 2.0” as a celebration of their 20th anniversary.
The original version of the song was released from their self-titled debut album in 2003. The song reached No. 2 on the UK Singles chart.
The track was written by James Bourne, Charlie Simpson, Steve Robson, and Matt Willis.
Busted said of the song, “'Year 3000' has been such a big part of [our] journey for the last 20 years”, say Busted. “The love that this song has just keeps growing, with the fans that were with us from the beginning and now a new generation. We were THRILLED when the Jonas Brothers gave it a whole new lease of life over in the States back in 2007, so we are excited to share this new 2.0 version with them in 2023!”
Jonas Brothers said, “We were so excited to collaborate with Busted to recreate one of their classics. 'Year 3000' is a timeless song, and we are thrilled to share it in a new, fresh way alongside the other collaborations they've done!”
  • Busted shared on social media, “Year 3000 2.0 with our friends Jonas Brothers IS OUT. We are so stoked to be working with so many incredible artists including the Jonas Brothers on this reimagining of all of our original hit songs, and will be releasing a Busted only version alongside it. We really cannot wait for this to be in your hands. We'll share more information regarding the album in the next few days.”
