Noemi Aurora Covers The Cure's “Friday I'm in love”
Italian alt-rock duo Helalyn Flowers vocalist and singer-songwriter Noemi Aurora released a cover of British rock band The Cure's “Friday I'm in love”.
The song is featured on the upcoming second tribute album “A Strange Play (Vol. 2) - Tribute to The Cure”, which is set to be released on June 23, 2023.
The album is a sequel to the 2014 album “A Strange Play - An Alfa Matrix Tribute To The Cure”, featuring 27-track covers by 27 artists.
The original version of the song was released by The Cure as the second single from their ninth studio album “Wish” in 1992.
The track was written by Perry Bamonte, Boris Williams, Simon Gallup, Robert Smith, and Porl Thompson.
The song reached No. 6 on the UK singles chart and No. 18 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
