Mikaela Davis Announces New Album “And Southern Star”, Shares New Song “Far From You”
New York-based singer-songwriter and harpist Mikaela Davis announced her sophomore album “And Southern Star” would be released on August 4, 2023.
The album is her first project in five years since the 2018 debut album “Delivery”. Also, it is the first album under her new label Kill Rock Stars..
The album comprises 9-track, Produced by Cian McCarthy, Kenny Siegal and Mikaela Davis.
Mikaela Davis said of the album, “It's been a long time coming. I am so proud of this record and can't wait for you all to hear it. Thank you to everyone who was involved in making these songs come to life.”
She continued, “I grew up listening to artists on Kill Rock Stars, and it's amazing that this independent record label is still run by the same folks who started it 30 years ago. The fact that KRS believes in my band's music is a dream come true. Excited and extremely honored to be a part of this legendary label!”
From the album, she released the first single called “Far From You” on April 4, 2023.
