d4vd Premieres New Song “Worthless” on BBC Radio 1
American singer-songwriter David Anthony Burke, aka d4vd premiered a new song “Worthless” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the follow-up to “Placebo Effect”, which was released back in February.
The track was written by David Anthony Burke, Spencer Stewart, Sofía Valdés, and Casey Smith. Produced by Casey Smith, Sofía Valdés, and Spencer Stewart.
The accompanying music was directed by Trey Lyons, who also created d4vd's previous video for “Placebo Effect”.
David Anthony Burke told Clara Amfo about the song, “I hit the ground running, honestly. I mean, I was at our home by myself being homeschooled for the past four years. Doing absolutely nothing playing video games all day, having something to do now. So it's like, I'm just taking that as this is my refund. This is already at school.”- 17-year-old singer continued, “The whole basis around the fact is like putting myself back in my brain two years ago. I'm the first I mean, not two years ago for the first two years of homeschooling when I felt the most isolated and the most alone because of right after coming off the cusp of like, being at school surrounded by all these kids and having a social outlet and everything like that. And I mean cut off from everything. And then nobody's contacted me after saying, 'yo, David, why do you not come to school?', just feel like you have nobody and waking up in the morning checking your phone and there's no notifications.”
