daine Releases New Song “writhe”
Filipino-Australian alt-pop singer-songwriter Daine Wright, aka daine released a new song “writhe” from their upcoming second mixtape “shapeless” on February 20, 2023.
The song is the final promotional single and follow-up to “skin deep”, “shapeless”, “stay close”, and “portal”.
It was written by Daine Wright, Lexc Stacy, Maurice Santiago, Max Epstein, and Ryder McLaughlin. Produced by Lexc Stacy and hearteyes.
The accompanying music video was directed by Joe Weird.
daine told Mixdown about the song, “I feel like 'writhe' and 'doom' were heavily influenced by a band called Modern Color I was listening to a lot at the time as well… and Oli Sykes, of course, continually motivates me.”
The new mixtape is set to be released this Friday (February 24th). It is their first project since the 2022 debut mixtape “Quantum Jumping”.
