Gorillaz Drops New Music Video for “Silent Running” featuring Adeleye Omotayo
British virtual band Gorillaz has dropped a new music video for “Silent Running” directed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and Emmy-nominated director Fx Goby.
The video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and on the Paramount Times Square billboards.
The song was released from their upcoming eighth studio album “Cracker Island” last month.
The track features Adeleye Omotayo, who is known as longtime vocalist for Gorillaz.
Also, it is the first Cracker Island song Gorillaz worked on with producer Greg Kurstin at his studio in Los Angeles.
The track was written by Greg Kurstin and Damon Albarn. Produced by Greg Kurstin and Gorillaz.
Adeleye Omotayo described about the song as “that sort of mesmerising dreamlike state you get in when you're just following some train of thought.”
Gorillaz frontman 2D added, “Sometimes I get well lost and end up in the wrong place but then it turns out that's where I was meant to be going anyway.”- _0Pf48RqSsg

On the clip, the band member Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs solve the mystery of 2D's disappearance. They infiltrated the headquarters of a shadowy group and finded vocalist 2-D was captured strapped to a contraption.
The new album comprises 10-track, featuring guest appearances from Thundercat, Stevie Nicks, Adeleye Omotayo, Tame Impala, Bootie Brown, Bad Bunny and Beck.
