Berlin-based South African singer-songwriter Bronwyn Reeler, aka Bronwyn released two new songs “Okay” and “Kids” on December 16, 2022 via Yutman Records.
"Okay" was recorded and filmed as a live studio session at Planet Earth Studios Berlin, using only Grand Piano and Bronwyn's vocals. Mournful and hopeful at the same time, Bronwyn's words sound like a tale passed down through generations, like a call for hope and a signal of doubt.
The track was written by Bronwyn Reeler, and Jon Moon, who also produced it.
“Kids” was written over nine years ago in the form of a poem and a melody, then harmonised on the piano by Jon Moon, it reflects on the experiences made by Bronwyn as a teenager growing up in Cape Town.
Bronwyn shared on social media, “It hardly ever happens that we release a song in the same year we wrote it, but this one just needed to be put out there. And thank you 18 year old me for beginning this journey by writing "Kids" and 27 year old me for writing "Okay" you nice love ya”- VUu0plk8WO0
