Lana Lubany Releases New Song “CLONES”
London-based Palestinian-American singer-songwriter Lana Lubany has released a new song “CLONES” along with a music video.
The song is third si gle off of her upcoming project “THE HOLY LAND”, following “THE SNAKE” and “SOLD”.
It was written by Lana Lubany, and Ben Thomson who aldo produced the track. The accompanying video was directed by Sahra Zadat.
Lana Lubany said of the song, “CLONES has upbeat, nostalgic sonics with contrasting dark lyrics, and is PHASE 3 of my concept project ‘THE HOLY LAND’. It’s about being so lost that I start seeing strangers in my own reflection – each face representing a new version of myself, which is supposed to help me find myself, but instead I end up lost and questioning my identity & purpose. I become addicted to the ‘new package’ feeling – never finishing anything, always starting something new, because that’s much easier than facing a harsh reality.
- The new project is the follow-up to the 2020 EP “Devil in My Eden”.
She said of “THE HOLY LAND”, “It’s about internal battles. I wanted to call it ‘THE HOLY LAND’ because I personally ended up finding my identity in my roots, but it could be anybody’s holy land. It can be whatever you find sacred and wherever you end up finding yourself. It’s not about religious symbolism, it’s about a personal journey.”
