Los Angeles-based alt-folk singer-songwriter Ada Marques announced her debut EP “Creature Of Habit” would be released on November 18, 2022.
From the EP, she released the third single called “Porcelain” on September 28th, following “Napkin” and “Bell”.
The song is a goodbye letter to a love outgrown with a deceptively upbeat instrumental and a haunting vocal line.
It was written by Ada Marques and produced by Chris Reynolds.
Ada Marques said of the song, “I always write songs from a place of hurt, but this song seemed to come from a place of anger. It was the first time in a long time that I allowed myself to write when I was purely angry. I usually write to process my feelings more calmly, but this song was written like a rant rather than a self-controlled dissection of a situation.”- She shared on social media, “porcelain is out & it’s my first semi upbeat song & im so anxious but excited but scared but everything and ever feeling ever. thank you to Chris Reynolds for helping me put it all together with ur magical musical mind and for always making my songs sound wayyy better than they originally start off as. I wrote this one in a quiet rage during a summer storm in the middle of the night thinking it would never see the light of day but I’m glad Chris Reynolds thought it was worth finishing up.”
