Lukas Graham Releases New Song “Wish You Were Here” featuring Khalid
- Danish pop band Lukas Graham, consisting of Lukas Forchhammer (vocals), Mark "Lovestick" Falgren (drumas) and Magnus Larsson (bass), released a new song “Wish You Were Here” on August 19, 2022.
This time, the band teamed up with American singer-songwriter Khalid on the track.
The song is about those long-lost friends who you wish could reconnect with.
A lyric video shows a message, “it's an anthem to the best friends. We all know the feeling of standing on the edge or the top of the world and missing someone special. It's always at big events and special occasions that I miss those unique people in my life that made me who I am today.”
The track was written by Lukas Forchhammer, Ryan Tedder, Andrew DeRoberts and Gregory Aldae Hein. Produced by Ryan Tedder and Andrew DeRoberts.
The accompanying lyric video was directed by Emil Wergeland.
- The band worked with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder remotely.
Lukas Graham shared on social media, “Remote songwriting with Ryan Tedder over the next days weeks. I missed my flight to LA and my session with him and now he's going on vacation & I'm busy as fuck..😅 We'll be posting our progress on @tiktok so if you wanna follow the process behind a song in the making you know where to find us. With the time difference and scheduling this is bound to get interesting 🔥🎶❤️ So we got the concept and the chorus down!! Working on verses now Ryan Tedder 🎶 ✍️ ”
