Pale Waves Releases New Song “The Hard Way”
- British alt-rock band Pale Waves, consisting of Heather Baron-Gracie (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Ciara Doran (drums), Hugo Silvani (guitar) and Charlie Wood (bass), released a new song “The Hard Way” on July 20, 2022.
The song is the fourth single off of their upcoming third studio album “Unwanted”, which is set to be released on August 12, 2022.
It was written by Heather Baron-Gracie and Sam De Jong. Produced by Zakk Cervini.
Heather Baron-Gracie said of the song, “When I was in high school a girl who was being bullied took her own life. I got on the bus with her every single morning and I would see her sitting in her same spot. She sat downstairs, and I would go upstairs. 'The Hard Way' is about my regret for not helping her, or standing up for her, that I feel now as an adult.”
She continued, “As a kid you're so shy and afraid, but I hope it'll influence people to stand up for those who need help, and help people understand that their words and actions can be really damaging. You don't know how cruel you can be sometimes, especially at that age.”
Also, she shared on social media, “The hard way is about a girl from my hometown who was being bullied and after taking the abuse again and again she took her own life. Be careful with your words and your actions everyone is fragile in their own way.”
