Distant Matter Releases New Song “Do You Miss Me?” featuring GUS
- Canadian DJ Alexander Swartz, aka Distant Matter has released a new song “Do You Miss Me?”
This time, he teamed up with Canadian singer-songwriter GUS on the track.
The song is the first single off of his upcoming debut EP “Iridescence”, which is expected to be released in 2022.
“My upcoming EP, Iridescence, shows who I am as an artist along with reflections on recent events in my life. 'Do You Miss Me?,' the song I am sharing with you now, is nostalgic and hopeful as it reflects on coping during a breakup,” Distant Matter explained. “You never know what the other person is thinking and you can find yourself asking questions in your head like, 'Are they thinking of me? Do they miss me?'”
He continued, “I chose two hands reaching for each other for this song's artwork to highlight the desire to relive the moments you once cherished with a significant other. The hands have an iridescent gradient map over them to signify the true colours that each person in that relationship saw in one another.”
He added, “In writing 'Do You Miss Me?' I have learned that life goes on. Even though you may be in a bad place during a breakup, it always gets better over time.”
